The game featured good pitching (Media recorded 11 of its 15 outs on strikeouts) and good defense (Media's Keith Grauer made a heads-up play at second to get the lead runner at third base in the opening inning). Tom Weathers relieved and struck out the side in his first inning of work. After NPAA staged a two-out 4-run rally in the fourth to take a 6-3 lead, Connor Gallen kept NPAA scoreless in the 5th, recording two strikeouts in his inning of work. In the bottom of the 5th (the last inning due to time constraints), Media staged a one-out rally. After John Allen used his speed to beat out an infield hit to load the bases, Ian Campbell drove in the first run on an infield single. Then Justin Brown crushed a triple to left center with the bases loaded to win the game, 7-6 for Media. A great start for the 10S team in the postseason! Next game is at NPAA on 6/30.
