Majors: Sunday, May 11, 2003 Hagans Funeral Home 13, Moppert Brothers 3 Led by the pitching and timely hitting of Dan McCarthy and Chris McCusker, Hagen Funeral Home "laid out" (boy I've been waiting to say that) Moppert Brothers 13 to 3 in what probably was Hagen's best played game of the season. Hagen's scratched out 4 runs in the first using on a series of singles, walks, steals, and the timely hit of McCusker. Moppert fought back for 2 in the second and 1 in the third to close the gap. Hagen's however, "stretched" the lead to 9 to 3 over the next couple innings combining aggressive base running with a couple of base hits. In the bottom of the fifth, Hagen's bats really "came alive" (is that really possible??) which set the stage for a bases loaded triple by Dan McCarthy which "buried" any chance of a Moppert comeback - metaphorically speaking!!
