Majors: 5/22/03 Campbells 11, Moppert 1 On yet another cold overcast and threatening night, Campbells Boathouse played an all hands on deck defensive game, got superb pitching from Patrick Smith and timely hitting from Rob Tull to put away the Moppert Reds 11-1. "Hooch" Smith went 4 innings for the Boathouse Crew (6K's, 1BB, 1ER) and was relieved by Mark "the Shark" Fanelli (1IP, 0BB's, 0ER's) to hold the Moppert bats at "bay" as they actually out-hit the Boathouse boys 7-4. Mopperts only run came in the 3rd on consecutive singles by Dan Nieves (2-3), Nick Hetland (2-3) and Alex Geosits. Campbells runs were posted as follows: They got 2 in the 2nd as "RyMy" Myers walked, Rob Tull doubled him in and scored on a Matt Giardinelli single. The Sailors put up another 6 in the 3rd as Alex Butt walked, Giardinelli singled again, Sarge Quintans was HBP (and almost charged the mound), Smith reached on an error, Stephan "Cheeseburger" Tull walked, "RyMy" was HBP and Mike Caramanico reached on an error. Finally, Campbells got 3 more in the 5th as Fanelli, Myers and Carmanico walked, then Rob Tull got his 2nd double of the game to drive in 2 and Caramanico scored on a Passed Ball. For Moppert Greg Allison pitched the 1st three innings and was followed by Dan Nieves for two. All told they only gave up 4 hits but were victimized by walks and an a couple of errors that might have gotten them out of innings. 1 2 3 4 5 R H E Moppert 0 0 1 0 0 1 7 2 Campbells 2 0 6 0 3 11 4 1
