National: 5/12/03 Fabian-Baber Yankees 20, Caramanico Braves 10 With cold sheets of windy rain greeting them in the opening inning, the Yankees and Braves managed to weather the brief storm and get their game into the books. The Yankees grabbed 6 runs in the top of the 1st on base hits by Anup Singh, Shay Roddy and Sanjit Singh. The Braves followed with 4 runs of their own bringing the score to 6-4. In the top of the 2nd the Yanks again snatched 6 runs this time on doubles by the dual heavy metal of the Donoghue Bros., Alex and Jack, along with a single by Ian Campbell. But the Braves fought back and scored the maximum 6 themselves, this time on the bat of Billy Ghaul who smacked a double to end the inning at 12-10 Yankees. The Yanks pounded back to grab 4 more runs in the top of the 3rd, this time on the bats of Rachel Campbell and Tyler Hansen who each had back-to-back singles and 2 RBI’s on a sacrifice by Kyle Tommasino. Anup Singh then took the mound, striking out 2 batters to hold the Braves scoreless after giving up a hit to Ryan Bradley making the score 16-10 after 3 innings. The 4th inning found more rap left in the bats of the Big Blue Bombers as they pounded out 4 more runs on 6 timely singles by Alex Donoghue, Jack Dongohue, Ian Campbell, Shay Roddy, Rachel Campbell, and Isis Fabian-Baber. That would prove more than enough as Anup Singh returned to the mound to polish off the Braves with 3 strikeouts and finish the game with the score 20-10 in favor of the Yankees.
