Hillyard  17,  GR Pontiac 7

  After a scoreless first inning, Mike Newman blasted a triple to right field to cap a six run
second inning for the Hillyard Royals.  Bobby Van Leer was  the winning pitcher, throwing two
shutout innings. Peter Christie made his middle relief debut, striking out the side after GR
Pontiac had loaded the bases in the third inning.  Hunter Tierney closed out the victory with
a 1-2-3  sixth inning that included two K's.  MIchael Newman had a unassisted putout as he
started at first base. Zack Calo was steady at second with a putout.    Luke Antonello and Joe
Sincavage each had 2 singles in the winning effort. John McGovern and Lexie Comer both added
2 walks to the teams total.

Billy Ankum, Brett Noble, Darren Lucca and Sarah  had hits for GR Pontiac.  Andy Kaiden added
two hits to his teams total.
