The Game between Gardner/Fox and Dougherty & Conrad featured a battle between two of the three first place and undefeated teams in Media Little Leagues American league division.  The game started with Brian Gross (1-4 1run), throwing 3 innings and holding D&C to just one run, while offensively, Gardner/Fox was lead by Nolan Dirienzi (3-3, 4runs, 1HR 5-rbi), Ben Sachs (4-4, 1run 2rbi) and Andy Kadien (2-3, 3runs, 4rbi).  Gardner/Fox put big innings together in the 3^rd, 3 runs and the 4^th 6runs.  D&C made a surge in the 5^th inning with key double by Shane Williams (2-3, 2doubles, 1run, 1rbi) and Joey Murray (1-3 1run, 1rbi), but Kevin Dougherty and Justin Barker made great defensive plays by running the balls down and hold the hits to doubles.  Gardner/Fox was able to put 3 runs across of their own in the 5^th and eventually shut down D&C with two key defensive plays by Philip Kotcamp (2-3, 1run).  Nolan Dirienzi closed out the contest with three up and three down in the sixth.
