That morning there was a light rain as the two teams prepared for what turned out to an exciting game. The Devil Rays started the game by scoring 5 runs in the first inning with great hitting. The Padres countered with their own 5 runs. The second inning was just as exciting, with the same number of runs. In the third inning, Corrine Mulhearn of the Padres made outstanding palys at first base to hold the Devil Rays to 3 runs.

 

What a game! Both teams look forward to when they meet again!
