ML Game 13
Moppert 6
Peterson 5
Moppert jumped out early with 3 runs in the 1st inning. Ian McClarney started the rally with a 1 out walk followed by a Brian Bosco double and Taylor Longacre single. Moppert added another run in the 2nd inning on an Alex Abromowitz walk and a double by Conner McCarren.
Peterson had no intention of letting this one get away from them and struck back with 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Jimmy Allen started the rally with a bunt single. One out later Ronnie Tassonni, Ben Davis and Nick Quintons ripped consecutive singles.
Peterson may have plated more if not for a fine defensive play by Alex Donahue in right field who gunned Nick Q single to the cutoff man (Kyle Longacre) who then fired it home to Adam Junkin for a fine 9-4-2 put-out. With the score 5-2 Peterson struck again with 3 runs in the 5th inning.
Again it was the trio of Tassoni, Davis and Quinton's leading the attach with consecutive hits. After a scoreless 6th inning Moppert pulled ahead in the 7th after Omar Randall singled, advanced to 2nd on a fielder choice and then scored on a Chris Kambic double. Adam Junkin then secured the win by pitching a 1-2-3 7th inning.
Another great game and one Moppert feels very fortunate to have pulled out.
