ML Game 25
Hagans 9
Peterson 2
Hagans continued its winning ways with a solid win over a hot Peterson’s team. Kevin Melone’s 3 run homer in the first inning gave Hagans a lead it never relinquished. Hagan’s added to its lead with Kevin Melone’s second home run of the game and then put the game away with key hits from Julian Heller ( 3 hits ), Kyle Maylish, and Beau Difiore. Hagans also played great defense highlighted by Julian Heller’s over the shoulder catch in right field and great plays by Matt Leonard, Scott Patton, and Kyle Maylish. Chris Maharaj and Hunter Tierney pitched tremendously each going three innings and holding a potent Peterson offense to 2 runs.
Darren Luca and Tom Weathers pitched extremely well for Peterson and Tom Weathers led the Peterson attack with a solid hit. Peterson turned a nice 6-4-3 double play started by John Robinson with a great turn by Cole Gamber at second base.
