ML Game 43
Campbell''s Boathouse 13
Carman's 12
While Skipper Tull was on shore-leave, (not at the game due to conflict), the
Boathouse team was steered by Coaches Doug Carr and Mike Henry to one of the
GREAT COMEBACK victories in the Boathouse History. The game was controlled
early on by the Insurance Guys, paced by Kyle Gillen ( 2 for 2, scoring 4 runs)
and Nick "Lew" Lewandowski ( 2 for 4 with a Double) scored early and often, BUT
- TEAM CAMPBELL"S said the soup wasn't done yet. Behind 7 to 2 after 3 innings,
10 - 3 after the 4th, the Boat started it's comeback scoring 2 in the fifth on a
triple by Colin "give the game ball" Barker. Colin had his best night yet with
tremendous defensive plays in the outfield and going 2 for 3 with the triple.
Carman's got the 2 runs back in the top of the last inning on the double by Nick
Lewandowski. Then the "Perfert Storm" brewing in the home dugout saw the
Boatmen bat 12 men and plate 8 RUNS for the win with ONE out. Jesse Tull led of
the inning with a walk, followed by one of Ryan Myers' singles, (3 for 4, on
base 4 times, scoring 2 runs). Not to be left behind Joe McLaughlin ( 3 for 4
double) hit a double to score Jesse and Ryan. The Rushton's Scott and Matt
combined for 4 hits and 4 runs. Jesse "hey this hitting stuff is easy" Tull
came up with base loaded to knock in the 11th run with a line drive single to
right off of dominant pitcher - Kyle Gillen, Ryan Myers (single) moved everyone
over to load the bases. With one out bases loaded and the score 12 - 11 Carmans
on top Joe McLaughlin hit the game winner plating all the runs needed for
Campbell's to win 13 -12. The Boathouse has all men-on-deck, streaming right
now into the playoff's. First round is Tuesday Nite.
