The game was evenly matched through the first 3 innings with both teams hitting the ball very well. The Marlins Brian Snow smacked a home run in the first inning to start this high scoring game off. Both teams combined for 28 hits and 18 runs in the first three innings of play. The Twins came on strong in the middle innings with back to back homers by Jack Ribble and Ben Aman in the bottom of the third to break the game open.
The Marlins had great play in the field by Timmy Quinn, Michael Solomon, Corey Hansen and catcher Brian Snow, but it was not enough to hold off the Twin’s bats. The Twins Jack Ribble pitched two strong innings striking out six and allowing one unearned run.
