An offensive-minded game, Children’s loaded the bases in the first before pitcher Tommy Higgins forced Liam O'Donnell to ground out to end the inning. The bottom of the first featured William Manganiello’s wall-bending 2-run homer. The score at the end of one was 3-0 Rose Tree.

In the second, Children’s again got runners on and scored two. 7-year old Connor Daly, brought up from the Continental league, hustled out a single and eventually came around to score for the second run of the inning. Rose Tree's William Manganiello connected again in the second, driving in Tommy Higgins for his 3rd RBI of the game. At the end of the second, it was 5-2.

Tommy Higgins pitched a scoreless top of the third. The Rose Tree bats came alive in the bottom half of the inning scoring 6, featuring 5 hits, most notably an RBI single up the middle by Jack Misko. At the end of 3, the score was 11-2.

Control problems struck the Rose Tree pitchers in the 4th and Children’s capitalized with five runs on five walks and a couple of key hits. In the bottom of the 4th, ace pitcher Daniel Grandieri silenced the Rose Tree bats with three straight strikeouts.

In the 5th, Children’s threatened with the bases loaded but a heads-up play by Eli Avart, Hugh Taussig-Lux and Tommy Higgins nabbed Connor Daly at the plate which finished the rally as Children’s scored only one run. The game was called after five due to darkness.
