AL Game 1
Patriot
Construction 10
Kish 4
The Patriots began the season with a victory over Kish in the American League’s
premiere game of the season. The Patriots started strong with 5 runs in the 1st
and 3 more in the 2nd behind multi-hit games by Dan Grandieri, Nolan Dirienzi
and Michael Solomon.
Strong pitching
performances were registered by Dan Grandieri and Nolan Dirienzi. A fifth inning
rally by Kish was doused when Alex McLaughlin launched a shot to straight-away
centerfield where Michael Solomon not only caught the ball, but doubled-up the
runner on first base for an inning-ending double play.
