Red Sox struck in the first inning with 4 runs and they had great pitching by Matt Mitchell, Rob Brown and Ryan Frawley. Brian Snow had a triple that scored three runs for the Red Sox. Brown hit a double in the right field gap to bring in Snow.

Dinger and Degnan pitched well for the Rockies.
