The Wilson Safe Company Yankees won their first game of the 2006 season by
defeating the Spectrum Roofing Twins; 10 to 1. The Yanks were led by the
pitching trio of Thomas Bacchia, Colin McGuire and Jack Daly who held the Twins
offense in check by limiting them to 2 hits over 5 innings.
Colin McGuire’s bases loaded double drove in two runs to break the game open.
The Yankees played stellar defense in field, ending the game on an unassisted
double play by Jack Daly. Joey Lewis, John Manos, Chris Urffer, Owen McGovern,
Andrew Wilson and Josh Yoon all contributed to the Yanks first victory of the
season.
Richie Sposato and Brendan Welsh made outstanding plays in the field for the
Twins, robbing Yankee hitters of at least three hits.
