Chase Luffey broke open a 2-2 game in the fourth inning with a grand slam, his
second hit of the game. Luke Ciminera hit a homerun in the fifth inning, giving
the Cubs two insurance runs and Luke his first multiple hit game. Although the
A’s held the Cubs to six hits, they were unable to sustain rallies started by
Ben and Alex Burman in the first and fifth innings. The Cubs went on to beat the
A’s 9-4.
