Both teams played very well in the tense game that went down to the bottom of the sixth where Burman's loaded the bases but Meenan pitcher Steve Furman extinguished the fire with three straight K’s. 

 

Both teams’ pitchers kept the game tight and were unyielding against opposing batters. Jim Finnegan threw two sold innings in his first start along with Calvin Samson and Steve Furman for Meenan. Peter Muavero and Ben Burman were equally impressive for Burmans.
