CMA Lightning won a hard fought and highly competitive game versus the league leading Quotations team.

The Lightning jumped out to an early lead in the first 2 innings scoring 8 runs with key hits by JT Harrar, Tyler Taggart, Cam Ricciardi, Dom Nunag, and Zach Kracht. The early rally was quickly halted by a great relay throw by Quotations' Ashton Raines to his catcher to get the 3rd out at home and end the 2nd inning.

Quotations responded with 5 runs of their own in the first 2 innings with big hits by Ashton Raines and Ben Aman.

Both teams hot bats were then cooled off by solid pitching performances by Quotations' Dan Enterlin (6 K's over 4 innings) and CMA's Dom Nunag (5 K's over 3 innings).

CMA scratched out a few insurance runs with a clutch double by Steve McAlee and RBI hits by Spencer Hespenheide and Tyler Taggart.

Quotations made a valiant comeback in the bottom of the 6th inning with a big RBI double to the center field wall by Dan Enterlin. However Tobias Gabel was able to close out the game aided by a game ending 6 - 3 - 5 double play!
