What a great day for a baseball game and if you were up at MLL Sunday you saw quite a show . Nick Boleto of Baker and Kevin McGarvey of Gardener Fox pitched a gem. Both pitchers went 5 innings, Nick striking out 9  and Kevin striking out 8. Baker took the early lead in the 1st with a run and then added another in the 4th with clutch hitting from Kellen Edmondson and a 2 out single from Hugh Reynolds.  Then in the top of the 5th, GF cut loose with 4 runs, Eric McGough with  his 3rd hit of the day  and a hit by McGarvey,an error here, an over throw there and a sharp single by Ryan Heidig, who?, and voila,GF had the lead.

 

GEEZ! Baker came up in the 5th not to be denied, with a walk and a couple of infield scribblers and most importantly great heads up base running, Baker scratched out 3 runs and left everyone in the stands with a...how-did-that-happen look on their face.

 

O-well just another day at the ball field!!!  NOT!!!!!! , both teams deserve that win but Baker came away with it.
