The Yankees opened the 1st inning by taking a 4-0 lead thanks to hits by Will Hotham and James Covello. The Red Sox battled back in the bottom of the 1st with a two out 5 run rally. Ethan Bedwell had an RBI single and Corinne Mulhearn had her 2nd bases clearing double of the year to make the score 5-4.
The Yankees tied the game in the 2nd inning thanks to a big triple by James Covello. The Red Sox responded with 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd thanks to a 2 RBI hit by Aaron Brown and a 2 RBI double by Cory Ziring.
The Yankees wouldn't give up that easily and managed to tie the game at 9-9 by scoring 4 runs in the final inning. Katsuki Clevenger scored the game winning run for the Red Sox on a RBI single by Louie Lombardo. Mike Kramer pitched really well for the Red Sox striking out 5 batters in 2 & 2/3's innings. Mike Kramer also had 2 hits for the Red Sox. Corinne Mulhearn struck out one batter in her pitching debut for the Red Sox. Connor Daly pitched 2 strong innings for the Yankees by striking out 4 batters and only allowing 1 run.
