The bats really came alive as the Red Sox and Braves combined for 28
hits in a game that had 5 lead changes. Kyle Virbitsky led the Red Sox
with 3 hits and 4 RBI's. Louie Lombardo, Aaron Brown, Jake Newsome, and
Corinne Mulhearn each had 2 hits for the Red Sox. Trailing 12-11, the
Red Sox rallied in the bottom of the 6th inning. Aaron Brown and Jake
Newsome hit back to back doubles to tie the game at 12 and Mike Kramer
followed with a single. Corinne Mulhearn walked to load the bases.
Katsuki Clevenger then stepped to the plate and drove in the game
winning run for the Red Sox. The Braves hitting attack was led by Richie
Sposato and Owen McGovern with 3 hits each. Rory Allen and Colin
McCarthy each had two hits. Jarett Kline had a home run and Giuliano
Ciancaglini hit a triple. Corey Ziring struck out 7 batters and Mike
Kramer pitched well for the Red Sox.
