A pitching duel took place on Tuesday evening at the MLL complex as the Braves
outlasted the Twins 3-1. Twins pitchers led by Stevie Moppert struck out 16
Braves batters and gave up only 4 hits in a tough loss. Julian Jamgochian
slammed a first inning triple scoring Matt Mitchell which turned out to be the
only Twins run of the game.
Giuliano Ciancaglini (2 for 3) and Richie Sposato (2 for 2 with a 2 run double)
had the only hits for the Braves. Scoring for the Braves were Rory Allen and
Owen McGovern.
Jack Kichula pitched 4 innings for the Braves striking out 7 Twins and
surrendering only one run.
