Patriot Construction Marlins 6
Conley Ward Steakhouse Athletics 10 Patriot Construction Marlins 6
In a topsy-turvy game in which no lead seemed safe, the A’s managed to pull out a hard-fought, 10-6 victory.
In a game highlighted by solid pitching on both sides, the A’s clawed their way back to take the lead in the top half of the 6th, and then hold the Marlins scoreless in the bottom half of the inning for the victory.
Nicholas Newman had a big two-run triple in the 1st to get the Marlins going. And with additional key base hits from Sam Freedman, Andrew Panzo, and Austin Peters, it appeared the Marlins would not be denied victory.
But the Athletics continued to battle back. Highlighting the hitting was Brian Skahill with a three-run triple, Shane Wicker’s 3 for 3 day, and key 6th inning doubles by Richie Hess and Jake Scott, as A’s sealed the victory late.
