A GREAT PITCHING PERFORMANCE

We couldn’t agree more with Coach Mohollen closing speech to Team Carman.  Never before have we seen a pitching performance as we experienced today from Daniel Furman.  He was extremely effective by striking out 18 of the 20 batters he had to face.  Christian Miller was able to reach base with a single in the fourth inning & Dan Grandieri followed that hit by reaching first on an error.  But that was all the offensive Furman would allow for Campbell’s for the entire game.

Team Carman spread 12 hits across the six innings.  The Carman highlights include Caedon Saltis rocketing his second home run of the season over the center fence in the third inning. In the fourth inning Alex McLaughlin got things moving by leading off with a single. Nick Ladd followed him up with a double.  Alex Kron came to bat next & hit a single.  The fifth inning brought us singles by both Alex Kron & James Kantner.  Our batters in the sixth inning had four hits all doubles to score fours runs.  The doubles were hit by Daniel Furman, Kevin Mohollen, Kevin McGowan & Alex Kron. Alex Kron went four for four with three singles & a double.
