On a beautiful night for baseball at the MLL complex, the Rockies were able to hold off the hard-charging Athletics Tuesday evening by a score of 12-10.

The Rockies used six different pitchers – Jack Pandolfo, Richie Hess, Jake Buchanan, Bennett Steinbach, Drew Robinson, and Meghan Lashley – who despite giving up a number of walks were able to hold the A’s to three hits while striking out 11 batters.

The A’s hurlers – Jessica Warrington, Ryan Morris, and Michael – all pitched effectively, striking out 6 Rockies.

Leading the way on offense for the Rockies were Bennett Steinbach, 2 for 3 with a double, Jack Pandolfo, 3 for 3, Ethan Broadhurst, 2 for 3 with a double, and Michael Goolsby, 2 for 2 with a walk. Justin Heidig added an insurance run with a 6th inning, RBI triple.

The A’s were very disciplined at the plate, drawing 17 walks off the Rockies pitchers. The Athletics were led on offense by Michael, 1 for 1 with 2 walks, Marshall Smith, 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, and Tommy Van Leer, 1 for 2 with a single and a walk.
