Baker defeated Carman by a score of 4-2 Sunday afternoon. Both teams had good pitching as Kyle Virbitsky went 5 and 1/3 innings for Baker scattering 4 hits, walking 1 batter and struck out 9 batters. Alex Burman came in and retired the only 2 batters he faced in the 6th to pick up the save. Baker benefited from great defense by Jimmy Hennelly, Devlin Ward, Joey Cimino, Manny Ruffin and Jake Glavin. Jake Glavin led Baker with 2 hits and an RBI. Joey Cimino and Manny Ruffin both drove in a run for Baker as well.

Eric Faillace was 2 for 3 with a solo HR and Nick Newman had a solo HR to pace Carman at the plate. Brian Snow pitched well for Carman. Snow struck out 9 batters, walked 1, and gave up 5 hits.
