In the final regular season game for the entire NL, the Rockies defeated the Royals 11-4.

The Royals had already secured 1st place for regular season, and the victory gave the Rockies 2nd place.
 
The Rockies jumped out to a 5-0 lead in top of 1st, and that scored stood till the 5th inning when the bats came alive. Offensively Sean Prior reached base all 4 times he was up, and Aaron Kuhn had 2 walks and was hit by pitch to reach base 3 times.

Defensively both teams made some tremendous plays in the OF as there were 5 fly balls caught between both teams.
 
The Rockies got good pitching efforts from Zac Burgess, Dylan Bittle, Graham Misko and Jamie Simpson
