In this 1st round match-up the Rockies got all they could handle from the Marlins, and were able to squeak out a 10-9 victory.
The Rockies jumped out to a 6-1 lead after 2 innings, but the Marlins chipped
away to take a 9-6 lead in the top of 4th inning keyed by big hits from Ryan
Polsky and Keith Stubblebine. The Rockies then came back to put up 4 runs
in bottom of 4th with the big hit coming from Dylan Bittle to knock in 2 runs.
The lead/winning run eventually crossed plate due to a hit batter with 2 outs.
Nathan Furman came in to lock down the save striking out the side in top of last
inning, advancing the Rockies into round 2 of winners bracket.
