The White Sox started off the game with 2 runs in the top of the 1st scored by Shane Farber and Ben Klinger. The Padres then tied the score with in the their half of the inning with runs scored by Matthew Pante and Jeremy Mack . It was then a defensive battle as both teams failed to score for the next 2 innings. Many great plays were made in the field by both teams. Then with the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 4th, Jake Stevens hit an RBI single that scored Garrett Lynn to put the Padres' ahead for good.
