The Twins brought their bats to a 15 – 11 win over the Royals on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. The sluggers included doubles by Sam Elfenbein (3 for 3) and Jake Kelk, and two for three at-bats by Grant Metzger and Blaise Penn. Kevin Fernandes pitched two scoreless innings to secure the win following strong showings by pitchers Blaise Penn and Adrian Kohler.

The Royals gave a strong effort with all but one player hitting at least one single and Nick Harrsch contributing a double in the sixth. Kevin Wang pitched two great innings delivering three strike outs and permitting only one walk.
