AL Game 39
VantagePoint 9
Pazulski Carpet and
Tile 8
In a very well played
baseball game by both teams, Vantage Point edged Pazulski 9-8 in a 5 inning
contest.
Vantage Point entered the bottom of the 5th down 8-4. After a walk to Blake
Martin and a pass ball Leo Burman laced a rbi single to Center cutting the lead
to 3.
Following a force out,
Malcolm Williams had an infield rbi single and Kadin Barr an rbi single to
center, and then Ryan Tolentino laced a one hop ground rule double to left
scoring another run. The Pazulski lead was now 1 with Tolentino and Barr on
second and third. This set the table for 6 hitter Garret Brunner who on the
first pitch he saw lined a double over the extended arms of short stop Andrew
Pak. Tolentino (puma) raced home from second and the game was over!! Brunner was
mobbed by the VP team in celebration.
Jake Dougherty threw 4 innings of 3 hit baseball and allowed only 2 runs for the
win. Brian Gunn earned the win in relief.
Joey Schaffer had 2 rbi's and a clutch base hit for VP and also had an
outstanding catch in right field.
Pazulski got great pitching from Andrew Pak and outstanding defense from many
other team members but the day belonged to Garrett Brunner who stole the show
with his two out clutch 2 run rip.
