On a rainy night, the Nationals rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth to beat the Diamondbacks, 5-3.

After the Nationals took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, they threatened to score again in the next inning. But, with runners on first and second and one out in the top of the third, Sam Davenport and Nicholas Corritore combined for a huge defensive play to help keep the D'backs' deficit at just a run. On the play, Davenport fielded the ball cleanly by the pitcher's mound and fired a perfect strike to Corritore, who made an outstanding catch at first base to get the runner out.

The score stayed the same until the bottom of the fourth when Jake McDowell launched a two-out, three-run homer to give the Diamondbacks a 3-1 lead. Kelton Brunner (two hits) and Corritore (3-for-3), who had hit back-to-back singles to start the inning, scored ahead of McDowell.

In the top of the sixth, the Nationals scored four runs on six hits, but the damage could have been worse if not for a great play at first base by the D'backs' Dylan LeBuhn.

In the bottom of the sixth, Brunner and Corritore each got a two-out single for the D'backs, but the Nationals held on for the win.
