The Rays opened the game with a 2-0 lead on a 2 run triple by B. Werner in the top of the 1st. The Mariners evened the score at 2-2 on two RBI singles by E. Smith and J. Cohen. The score stayed tied through 3 innings.
 

In the top of the 4th, the Rays scored one on a HR by J. Venit. The Rays had the bases loaded but couldn’t get another run across the plate. In the bottom of the 4th, the Mariners opened up the inning with a single by N. Griffin followed by a triple by J. Cohen to score the game. With two outs in the inning and a man on third, E. Curran hit a double up the middle to give the Mariners the lead. The Mariners added one more in the inning to make it 5-3.

In the bottom of the 5th, the Mariners extended the lead to 6-3. In the top of the 6th, the Rays made a comeback with back-to-back doubles by J. Venit and B. Werner. With two outs, Z. Schuller hit a triple down the line to score B. Werner making it 6-5. The Mariners made the final out holding on for the 6-5 win.
