Hagan jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead thanks hits by Andrew Robinson and Mike Castaldi. Baker responed with a solo Home Run by Ryan Duplicki to deep center field to make it 4-1. Baker pitcher Russell Smith settled down on the mound and held Hagan to just 1 run (a solo home run by Zack Schlecht) in innings 2 to 5. Baker scored 2 runs in the 3rd to cut the lead to 5-3.

In the bottom of the 5th, Luke Lombardi led off with line drive single to right followed by a double to deep center by Brian Virbitsky. Lombardi scored on a sac fly by Brendan Schramm. Justin Ross then delivered a game winning double that bounced over the fence in right center to give Baker a 6-5 lead. Brian Virbitsky came in and pitched the top of the 6th and retired the side to secure the victory for Baker.
