ML Game 32
Baker Printing 8
Moppert Brothers 6
Baker Printing needed a late game rally to come back and defeat Moppert by a
score of 8-6 on Friday night. Moppert jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the 1st
inning thanks to an RBI hit by Evan Fooks. But in the bottom of the 1st Baker
responded with 3 runs thanks to RBI's by Jake MacDonald, Zak Summy and Russell
Smith. Then in the top of the 2nd, Moppert plated 4 more runs in what looked
like it would be a slugfest with Danny Maguire and Evan Fooks driving in runs.
Russell Smith then settled in on the mound for Baker Printing and retired 10 of
the next 12 batters he faced to hold Moppert scoreless the rest of the way.
Baker trailed 6-4 at the bottom of the 5th inning but scored 3 runs including
the game winning steal of home by Justin Ross from 3B.
Brendan Schramm, Ryan Duplicki, and Jeffrey Lunger each had 2 hits to lead the
Baker attack. Luke Lombardi, Jake MacDonald, and Justin Ross also added a hit
for Baker. Evan Fooks and Danny Maguire drove in 5 runs and both had 2 hits
apiece.
