ML Game 42
Campbells Boathouse Restaurant 11
Plush Mills 5
Game
Summary:
Campbells Boathouse came out swinging and took the second game of a Home and
Home series with 1st place Plush Mills with a resounding, never look back 11-4
victory. Campbells started early with 3 runs in the top of the 1st from back to
back doubles by Andrew Sposato (3 hits) and winning pitcher Max Daugherty (3
RBI's). Plush Mills got a run back in the bottom of the 1st on starting pitcher
Charlie Andress BOMB, his 1st career Major League Homerun over the centerfield
fence!
Campbells bats kept the pressure on in the 2nd and 3rd as Devon Laut, Daugherty
and Sposato scored 9 of the 11 Campbells runs.
Daugherty picked up the win for Campbells, pounding the strikezone into the 5th.
Sposato came in to relieve and picked up the save, in his attempt to wrestle the
closer role from Campbells shut-down closer Bryan 'Paplebon' Pazulski, who was
forced to backstop Daugherty's effort with 6 innings of catching. Pazulski's
evening behind the dish was highlighted by throwing out MLL's stolen base
leader, the speedy AJ Santisi (2 hits) on his attempt to steal 2nd base.
After the game, during the post game interview with a Delco Times Reporter, Andrew Sposato issued a challenge to the rest of the Major League Teams. "This was a prelude to tomorrow's Bat-A-Thon®, and we'll be ready to hit! Any team that scores more points than us at Bat a Thon, I'll use my allowance to buy that whole team Ice Cream at the Snack bar!"
