ML Game 55
Baker Printing 10
Campbell's Boathouse 9
Baker
Printing won its 5th consecutive game with their 2nd come from behind victory in
the past 3 games. Ryan Duplicki pitched great for Baker as he had a no hitter
going through 4 innings with no hits and 7 strikeouts. Max Dougherty has his off
speed pitches landing for strikes as he struck out 8 batters including 6
consecutive Baker hitters in the 1st and 2nd inning. Baker still managed to
build a 7 to 0 lead off of hard throwing Max.
In the top of the 5th inning, Kyle Langan finally got to Duplicki with a bunt
single that ignited Campbells with a 2 run rally that ran Duplicki out of
pitches. The Campbell's rally continued in the top of the sixth as they smacked
six hits and including the big blow, a 2 run home run bomb to left field by 11
year old Jake Fisher to give Campbell's 9-7 lead.
Baker wasted no time responding to the fierce rally in the bottom of the 6th as
they had their top of the order up. Brian Virbitsky led off with a hard hit
double down the 3rd base line. Then, Brendan Schramm hit a single to drive in
Virbitsky and cut the lead to 1 run. Ryan Duplicki stepped up to the plate and
blasted the second pitch all the way to the Continental Field for a walk off
game winning home run! This was Duplicki's league leading 10th home run of the
season.
Baker was led in hitting by Brian Virbitsky with 4 hits, 2 by Brendan Schramm,
and hits from Jeffrey Lunger, Zak Summy, Luke Lombardi, Nick Palermo, Justin
Ross and Russell Smith.
Andrew Sposato, Max Daugherty, Brendan Ricciardi, Alex Jacobs, Josh Grady, and
Kyle Langan each had hits to lead the Campbell's attack.
