Duplicki and Brendan Schramm led Baker to their 6th consecutive victory
Wednesday evening by a score of 11 to 6 over Advocare. Ryan Duplicki hit a 2 run
home run in the bottom of the 1st to give Baker a 3-0 lead. In the 4th inning,
Ryan blasted a 3 run opposite field home run (his 12th round tripper of the
year). Duplicki closed out the game on the mound for the final 2 & 1/3 innings
striking out 5 batters and only allowing 1 run. Brendan Schramm kept the
Advocare bats quiet by only allowing 1 hit through 2 innings. Schramm went 3 for
3 with 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Brian Virbitsky got a hit and scored twice.
Virbitsky pitched 1 & 2/3 innings striking out 3 batters before giving way to
Duplicki to close out the game. Justin Ross, Zak Summy and Jake McDonald also
had hits for Baker.
Advocare was led by Jared Brower, Eric McLaughlin, and Nick Corrado who each had
2 hits apiece. Chris Johnson had a bases loaded hit to deep center that drove in
2 runs. Jack Kichula had a hit and drew 3 walks and ended up scoring each time
he got walked.
