NL Game 37
Orioles (Quinn Construction) 10
Red Sox (Media Dental) 2
We had
a pitcher’s dual through 2 innings pitcher’s dual Dillon (SOX) and Nick
(ORIOLES). Out of the gates the Orioles loaded the bases but were unable to get
a run across after three strike outs thrown by Dillon. Nick Pante threw two
innings for the O’s – striking out 6 and letting up one run.
#7 took the hill once again for the Sox but was unable to keep the shut out in
tact. A key walk worked by Marc “SOFINE” Stubblebine got a RBI and proved to be
a big. After the walk Eli McEntire stroked a 2 RBI single and the O’s never
looked back scoring 5 in the third and 5 more in the 4th.
Middle relief for the O’s was provided by Cooper “Dr Pepper” striking out two
only allowing one run – FINE JOB.
Some additional offensive punch was provided by Matt Pante with a bases loaded
double.
Sammy “can I throw the junk” Burman effectively closed out the contest throwing
two innings of scoreless baseball – K’ing 6 – only letting up one single.
The game ball was awarded to Matt for his two clutch hits and 3 RBI’s…after
which he was overheard saying “HOT DOG, HOT DOG! – my favorite...” obviously
impressed by his award.
