After falling behind 1-0 after the first inning Media scored 2 in the 2nd inning after getting three straight hits from Jared Brower, Zach Schlecht and Spencer Panzo. NELL added a run in the 3rd inn to tie the game at 2-2. Zach Schlecht led off the 4th inn with a solo HR to straight away center and Media would hold onto that 3-2 lead until the bottom of the 5th when NELL scored 2 runs to take a 4-3 lead headed into the last inning. Jack Kichula started the 6th inn with a double followed by a Max Dougherty single making it runners on 2nd and 3rd. Jared Brower stepped to the plate and crushed the 1-2 pitch to DEEP right center for a 3 run HR and a 6-4 lead. Justin Heidig came in and pitched a scoreless 6th inn (2 Ks) for the save. Max Dougherty and Jack Kichula pitched the first 5 inns striking out a combined 7 batters.
