CL Playoff Game 2
Tigers (Sposato Homes) 18
Rays
(FiscalWise) 17
Anytime a Jim Cawley coached team enters the playoffs you know that team has
been groomed all year to hit and deliver in the playoffs. In 2011 Cawleys
Nationals delivered a big first round upset scoring 19 runs and this year they
picked up right where they left off with enough production for Upper Prov Twp to
consider opening Sycamore Mill on Ridley Creek to produce more bats.
In a fantastic game that exemplified what Little League Baseball is all about,
Cawley's Rays delivered NINE runs in the top of the 6th to come from EIGHT runs
down to take a one run lead. The Tigers however showed incredible resolve in the
Bottom of the 6th and ended it with Chase Nangle's dramatic walkoff single, to
roar home with an 18-17 win.
The Rays pounded out THIRTY hits and had at least a 2 hit game from every single
player on their roster. They were led by Big Ben Werner and Jared Venit who both
went 5 for 5.
The Tigers also pounded out THIRTY hits and got monster days from Nate Hall
(4-4, 2B, 3B, 2R, RBI), Chase Nangle (4-4, 3R, 3RBI), Jaden Jauregui (2-3, 5RBI,
2 2B), Andrew Kirkpatrick (3-3, 2RBI) and the stoic, stout six year olds Brendan
Hefferan (3-3, 2B, 3R, 2RBI) and Ryan Anderson (3-3, 1R, 1 2B and 3RBI)
Tremendous Job by Both Teams!!!!!!
