ML Playoff Game 7
Hagan Funeral Homes 3
Moppert Brothers 2
In a classic pitching duel that featured great defense and aggressive
base-running, Hagan's was able to keep their championship hopes alive with a 3-2
victory.
Hats off to Moppert's, Danny Maguire, who pitched an outstanding game, shutting
down Hagan's after giving up a run in each of the first two innings.
But the story of the day was the smart, crafty Michael Castaldi who went the
distance for Hagan's, throwing only 62 pitches. Michael allowed only four hits
and one walk while striking out three. Michael was helped most this day by his
center-fielder, Max Elfenbein, who recorded 5 put-outs, including a screaming
line-drive off the bat of Sean Rushton.
It is a shame someone had to lose this one!
