ML Playoff Game 14
Baker Printing 3
Carman Insurance Group 0
The
Major League championship game turned out to be a classic pitching duel between
12 year old Brendan Schramm and 10 year old Nate Furman. Both pitchers combined
to strike out 13 batters, allowing a total of 6 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batter.
Baker scored 2 runs in the 1st inning due to a costly error followed by an
overthrow. Baker added a 3rd insurance run in the 4th inning thanks to a double
by Zak Summy. The shut out was only the 3rd one out of 70 games played in the
major league this season. Brendan Schramm had command of all his pitches
including his fastball, change up and curve ball. Carman runners never made it
past 2B the whole game. The game was completed in about an hour.
The victory gave Baker it's 3rd consecutive Major League Championship and they
finished the season with 17 wins and 3 losses.
