Media, PA -- In what would become the fastest 6 inning game this season (1 hr, 5
min), Patriot Construction outdueled Carman Insurance by a score of 4-1. The
game featured great pitching by both teams with both pitchers going the
distance. Danny Crossan took a shutout into the 6th inning before Carman scored
its only run. He ended with 7 Ks, 0 BBs, 1 ER and gave up only 6 hits in the
victory. Danny McGloughlin was also very good hurling 4 Ks, and only 1 walk to
his credit.
The game was scoreless through 2 innings but in the third Patriot scored 2 to
take the lead. Dan DiRtia shined at the plate going 2 for 2, with a sacrifice
fly and 3 RBI. Crossan also added a pair of hits to go along with his masterful
pitching performance. Dylan Bittle, Andrew Pak, Nate Rodgers and Ethan Emery all
added hits to the win. Emery played a solid 2B making 5 plays to assure the win.
Bradley Dinger and Kadin Bard each had 2 hits for Carman. Bard had the lone RBI.
