ML Game 17
Hagan's Funeral Home 11
Baker Printers 10
Major League game 17
was a roller coaster ride providing Hagan and Baker many opportunities to
overcome adversity. Early energy by an aggressive Baker's offensive attack found
Hagan's behind 5-1 after one inning & 6-1 after two. The third inning
demonstrated Hagan's first victory against adversity posting 5 runs and tying
game at 6-6. Baker's wasted no time storming back in the top of the fourth lead
by offensive star Brian Virbitsky (3 hits-3 runs scored) posting three runs &
adding another in the fifth to take a commanding 10-6 lead into the bottom of
the sixth.
This provided the stage for Hagan's to challenge adversity once more & challenge
they did. The inning started with three straight hits by Barker, Gill & Tommy
"hitman" Zeigler but Baker's battled back to record two straight outs. The stage
was now set for one great comeback which Hagan's produced with two outs behind
10-8, Brown, Bauwens, Stroup & Golub got hits to secure a thrilling 11-10
victory.
