The Dodgers
started out the game at the top of the 1st on this warm Spring morning with hits
by AJ McQuade, Owen McGroarty, Stephen Valtos, and an RBI hit by Avi Patel
bringing the score to 1-0. The Reds remained scoreless in the bottom of the 1st,
but saw a triple hit by Harry Giles.
The 2nd inning remained scoreless
for both teams. Dodgers player, Mike Dimonte hit at the top of the second and
Reds player Jason Coury hit a triple at the bottom of the 2nd.
In the top
of the 3rd, the Dodgers saw more hits from AJ Mcquade, Stephen Valtos, and
another RBI single from Avi Patel. The Dodgers went up 2-0. The bottom of 3rd
saw 3 hits by the Reds from Trent Graci, Harry Giles and Gavin Martin, but no
runs were scored by the Reds.
The Dodgers were unable to score at the top
of the 4th. Jake Mcquade had the only hit for the Dodgers. The Reds came back
big in the 4th with a lead-off double hit by Jason Coury. Lily Riordan hit a
single followed by Patrick McGuire and Charlie Contrucci both having RBI singles
to tie the game. Trent Graci also hit a single at the end of the inning.
Going into the 5th at a tie game, Dodgers players, AJ Mcquade, Owen
McGroarty and Stephen Valtos hit singles to load the bases for Avi Patel who had
a 2RBI double putting the Dodgers in the lead again 4-2. The Reds had another
double hit by Jason Coury, but no runs were scored in the bottom of the 5th.
The sixth inning saw some excitement to start off with singles hit by Ian
Cohen, AJ McQuade, Owen McGroarty, and an RBI single by Stephen Valtos. The
Dodgers brought the score to 5-2 going into the bottom of the inning. The Reds
loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth with hits by Patrick McGuire,
Charlie Contrucci, and Gavin Martin. No runs were scored by the Reds with the
game ending in a double play by Avi Patel. It was a great game played well by
both teams.
