Moppert Brothers (3-3) came out of the gate hitting the ball hard to get back to a 500 record with a 5-2 win over previously unbeaten Baker Printing (5-1). Emanuel Chuckran led off with a double and Tommy Bradley followed with a triple. After 2 K’s by Baker’s Owen Evert (9-K’s in 4 innings of work) Austin Hines ripped a RBI single to take a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. Baker got an unearned run back in the 2nd. The 2-1 score remained until Moppert got a little breathing room in the 5th by scoring 3 runs on a leadoff walk by Luke Narbus and singles by Chuckran, Bradley and a double by Anthony Covello. Evert led off the bottom of the 6th with a laser HR to right field but 2 runs on 5 hits is all Baker could muster against the Moppert pitching. Christian Williams was on base 2 times and made a nice catch in left in the last inning for Moppert.
