On a beautiful and sunny spring Monday night, both the Mariners and Rays came in looking to bounce back from tough outings over the weekend. The Mariners jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Solid plate performances from Braden Firlein, Joseph McConnell, Sam Grace and Owen McGroarty set the tone for the evening. Solid defense all around from the mariners all night supported lights out pitching performances from Eddie Morroni and Joseph McConnell. Patrick Lester took the team game ball, going 2 for 2 at the plate, a base on balls, a home run, 3 RBIs, 4 stolen bases and an unassisted double play.

The Rays were a formidable opponent, keeping the game tight until the 4th inning. Patrick Jung lead the Rays with a double, RBI and scored, as well as striking out two in the bottom of the fifth.
