NL Game 28
Indians (New Spring Capital) 7
Orioles (Court Diner) 4
Media, PA – In this game, Sarah
Liebman did it all. Pitched, hit, and fielded. She even managed to steal a base
to lead her Indians to a 7-4 win. Sarah pitched 3 strong innings, striking out
five and allowing only one hit. When she ran into a little trouble in the third
inning Coach Del went out to relieve her but she pleaded her case and was
allowed to stay in there. She kept her poise and got out of the jam, escaping
what could have been a huge inning. She also was on base twice singling in the
second inning and later walking. Mike Skerritt also had a great game doubling in
the second inning which proved to be the game winning RBI. Mike Piscopo played
great as well making a great catch in left field.
The
Orioles also had some big time players in this one. Charlie Nasta pitched a
great game and was on base twice to lead his team. Evan Whitehouse added a hit
and played well in the field. Lizzy Allen also reached base twice and fielded
her position well.
