Great pitching from both teams, but a solid first 3 innings from Patrick Lester kept the Cardinals to just 3 runs. The Mariners plated 7 in those frames and never looked back. The Cardinals made a great comeback, pulling to within 4 going in to the last inning, but Owen McGroarty closed the door, striking out two in the 5th and final inning.
